The Annual Neshkoro Scarecrow Fest will take place on Saturday October 12 from 10am – 3pm at Stan-O-Gene park. Stan-O-Gene, which is located on Hwy 73 just north of the Village, has a large level area for Vendors, covered pavilion to enjoy food and beverages, handicap accessible washrooms, and plenty of room for parking.
This year will be bigger and better with something for the entire family in a beautiful park setting. Dr Jennifer Culver from Community Yoga will be providing a FREE yoga session from 10:15-11:00. The Marquette County Sheriff Department will be giving a K-9 demonstration at 12:30 and the Waushara County Humane Society will again have animals to adopt. Children will have plenty to do with FREE face painting, kids games with plenty of prizes, free cookie decorating and a chance to learn about fire safety from our Neshkoro Fire Department members. While the children are busy playing in a safe environment, adults can listen to the music by DJ Jerry and enjoy good food and beverages. There will also be many vendor booths to shop for that perfect item.
The Scarecrow Fest would not be complete without the Annual Scarecrow Contest. There are 2 categories in which you can enter – either the Individual/Family or Business/Organization. This year our prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be $50, $30 and $20 in each category. This is a great way to gather your family for a fun project or to advertise your business or group. Applications can be picked up at the Neshkoro Library, Neshkoro Village Hall, or online at https://neshkorowi.gov. Plan to come and spend a few hours of family focused fun in a small town atmosphere.
